Just before 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, someone called 911 and reported a disturbance at a local business. Police Public Information Officer Travis Welsh explains.

“Officers responded to the report of a stalking and a temporary order of protection violation in the 2300 block of Great Northern Avenue,” Welsh said. “The complainant had said that a respondent on an order of protection that she had filed was at her place of business where he had been trespassed permanently at a time in the past.”

According to the report, the man was being very loud and slammed his hands on a desk multiple times.

“When the officers arrived, they encountered 41-year-old Vincent Taylor,” Welsh said. “Taylor was detained until the investigation was complete. At that time, he was transported to jail and was placed under arrest for trespass to property, disorderly conduct, violation of a protection order and stalking.”

This was Taylor’s second stalking offense. As a result, he now faces a felony charge.
