Over the last 15 years, Pet Fest has become the biggest pet adoption event in Montana, delivering hundreds of animals to good homes during a long weekend at Caras Park.

But, like everything, they've had to adapt to the new normal we've found ourselves in for 2020. Because of COVID-19, this year's Pet Fest will be taking place entirely online, and will feature adoptions from local shelters and rescues.

But the virtual space has given them freedom to innovate and try some new things this year - they'll have an online video contest going too, and visitors are encouraged to enter to win some traditional prizes that are offered every year, but this year they're ALSO offering a grand prize of $500 to the video with the most votes overall.

They'll also have a new virtual online shopping area, and the fact that it's all online will allow more shelters to participate without the worry of bringing live animals out to Caras Park for the weekend.

The new, online Pet Fest kicks off on August 21st and will go through the 23rd, and they'll announce the winners for their online contests on the 24th.

You can get all the info you need for this year's Pet Fest at their website, which is where you can also register to exhibit a pet or become a sponsor. Is your family looking for a new, furry friend? This may be your chance.
