Missoula Made ‘Cu-TIE Key’ Helps Keep Hands Clean

Since the pandemic began, this copper thingy has been essential in keeping my hands off cootie infested doors, locks, keypads and devices that are not mine. You may have seen similar "touchers" in stores, but this one is made in Missoula and is genuine antimicrobial copper, thus, the Cu element symbol in the name. Antimicrobial copper is effective in killing 99.9% of bacteria within 2 hours of contact, so it's basically the perfect thing to protect your hands from germ infested surfaces.

Now I don't know if this is true for everyone's phone, but this puppy also works on my phone screen as a stylus (I have an android,) which is handy when I have actually touched, say a dirty shopping cart, and then want to use my phone. I use it to pull doors open, and to touch the PIN number keypads at stores mostly, but it will also unlock doors, as pictured below. I've also found myself using it to grab things from people, like grocery bag handles. It's just a great little anti-cootie tool to have in your purse, pocket or fanny pack, plus, it's lightweight, and not very big, as you can see in the comparison to my hand. I think most people probably just throw it on their keychain. Honestly, a dream item for anyone who was already a germophobe even before the pandemic.
