The Missoula County Attorney’s Office filed 10 new felony complaints this week, which is the exact same amount as last week. Of those 10, County Attorney Kirsten Pabst said her office charged one disorderly conduct case.

“In that case, the defendant allegedly went into a convenience store and threatened a clerk,” Pabst said. “We charged an aggravated assault and a theft against a partner. In that case, the defendant allegedly strangled and repeatedly punched the victim. As you know, we charged a deliberate homicide case as well. In that case, the defendant allegedly stabbed his girlfriend to death in her apartment.”

That case was filed directly into District Court and the defendant's bail was set in the amount of $1,000,000.

According to Pabst, there was an attempted theft case as well.

“In that case, the defendant allegedly threatened to take the victim’s pop-up trailer,” Pabst said. “We charged an assault on a peace officer. In that case, the defendant caused a scene at the victim’s place of employment over some gas money. Apparently, they have a child together. The officer attempted to direct her to her vehicle. She allegedly struck the officer on the side of the head.”

Pabst said they also charged one defendant with DUI and unlawful use of motor vehicles. In that case, the defendant was pulled over in a stolen vehicle and found to be under the influence of narcotics.

Finally, there was one meth case and two forgery cases. You can listen to Pabst’s full report below:
