Missoula Business Moving From Southgate Mall to New Location

Have you checked out Missoula's newest sandwich shop yet? The Jersey Mike's location is now open for business at 3275 N. Reserve St. If the address does nothing for you, you might know it better if I was to describe it as being in the old Quiznos location and next to Cold Stone Creamery. And if you stopped for sandwiches or ice cream recently you might have seen that there's another new business going in next door to both.

Another store is about to open in the same area

If you love Apple products there's nothing like an Apple Store! Nothing but iPhones, iPads, MacBooks, and AirPods as far as the eye can see. Of course, we don't have an Apple Store in Missoula. But we do have a couple of places where there are plenty of Apple products on display. Best Buy comes to mind. So does Simply Mac inside Southgate Mall. I noticed last week that an open spot in the strip mall next to Jersey Mike's and Cold Stone is set to become a Simply Mac location. I couldn't picture what used to be in the spot but looking at images on GoogleMaps it shows that it used to be Brown Sugar Tan Spa.

Another Simply Mac? Or is the other one moving?

I called over to the mall to investigate a bit and it appears that Simply Mac will soon be leaving the mall for the new location on Reserve St. A friendly employee told me that they didn't know the reason behind the move but that it was scheduled to happen around the end of February.

Looks like they better get things in gear

I'm probably the least qualified person to give an opinion when it comes to how long it takes to get a building ready for a business to move into it. But if they're planning on making the switch at the end of February, we're about a month away and it looks like there is plenty that needs to be done to get the new place ready.

Let's give them some points for creativity

I have to say that my favorite part about the signage in the window of the new location is how they incorporated the progress bar you see whenever you do an Apple update. I love that it basically shows an update in progress that isn't finished yet. Well played!

What's next?

Whether it's the end of February or later, it looks like Simply Mac is on the move. That means we get to play our favorite game of "what new store will be opening inside of Southgate Mall?" Maybe the answer is already out there. Do you know?
