Meals on Wheels in Missoula, led by Missoula Aging Services, provides an essential service in the community, and they've been busier than ever over the past year, with more and more people struggling thanks to the pandemic.

In fact, the amount of people they serve daily has increased about 40% since the start of the pandemic, and they've been serving roughly 2300 meals every week. That's a lot of food, and this service needs money to keep going - that's why every year, the organization embarks upon March For Meals to raise enough funds to get them through the year. This year, they're hoping to raise $85,000 to keep them going during 2021.

With a lot of increased demand for their service, the money is needed now more than ever. The Missoulian goes into detail about how they've been operating in a world affected by the pandemic, how things have changed and how they've been working to help as many people as possible.

You can find out all kinds of info about the history and the need for March For Meals at Missoula Aging Service's website, which is also where you can go to make a donation online. Hopefully, with more people getting the vaccine every day, less people will need the service in a post-pandemic world and they can struggle a little less to continue their mission to help people in Missoula.

Do you or someone you know use the Meals on Wheels service in Missoula? Are you going to help donate to a worthy cause?
