Mary’s Mountain Cookies in Missoula has been chosen by Facebook to partner on a national event this week. Event Organizer Chris Puyear explains.

“This week, Facebook is rolling out a new feature called birthday stories,” Puyear said. “It is a new type of story where friends and family can add digital birthday cards, photos, and videos. They will all be delivered to the end user in a customized timeline. To celebrate, Facebook is holding birthday parties all across the United States in all 50 states.”

According to Puyear, a Facebook representative will be there to demo the new product and explain how it works. Mary’s Mountain Cookies will give away free birthday cookies from 10:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, May 10.

“Facebook really wanted to find a local partner that was part of the fabric of Missoula,” Puyear said. “Mary’s Mountain Cookies has a great story of entrepreneurship. They are contributing to a vibrant downtown. They are on Higgins Avenue in Missoula. They were the perfect folks to celebrate the roll out of this special feature.”

Puyear says each customer will receive one free cookie. He encourages folks to stop by and visit because they made a lot of cookies. They are looking forward to giving them away throughout day.
