A Hamilton man was killed, apparently from a gunshot wound Saturday night, December 28. The incident happened the home of 59-year-old Joann Campbell at 600 West Desta in Hamilton. Campbell is in jail facing a deliberate homicide charge. Hamilton Police chief Ryan Oster said that Campbell had come to the Hamilton Police Department on West Main about 7:30 p.m. to make a report, but left before an officer could take her complaint. A half hour later, at about 7:50 p.m., officers responded to the shooting. The desceased man has not been identified and his body is at the State Crime Lab in Missoula for an autopsy. Hamilton Police obtained search warrants, conducted interviews and processed the scene.
