The University of Montana Cheer Squad is hosting the annual Griz Glam Jam cheerleading competition this Sunday, January 19.

The Griz Glam Jam brings in over 300 athletes and coaches. It's one of the largest cheer competitions in Montana, including teams representing Billings, Helena, Great Falls, Livingston, Missoula and two teams from Idaho.

The all-star cheer competition begins at 8:00 a.m. with specialty competitors, including solo and stunt groups, and continues through the afternoon with team competitions.

The event is held at the Adams Center on the University of Montana campus and is open to the public. General admission tickets are $7; kids age 6-17, military personnel with ID and senior citizen tickets are $5; kids 5 and under get in free. Parking and re-entry are also free. Proceeds from Glam Jam benefit the UM Spirit Squad program, which along with the UM Dance Team and Monte the Griz Mascot will also be performing Sunday.

Good luck to all the competitors. And we hope you can go support this big Missoula event.
