Kendra Wilkinson and Bridget Marquardt, a.k.a. ‘The Girls Next Door,’ React to Hefner’s Death
The women who starred with Hugh Hefner on E!'s The Girls Next Door are speaking out after his death, but one has been noticeably quiet.
Hefner, who passed away Wednesday (September 27) at the age of 91, enjoyed a renaissance in the 2000s with a reality TV show documenting the lives of Hef's girlfriends at the fabled Playboy mansion.
Kendra Wilkinson and Bridget Marquardt, who starred on the reality program, expressed their condolences (as did many, many others) on social media, with Wilkinson also releasing a statement.
"Hef changed my life," she wrote. "He made me the person I am today. I couldn’t be more thankful for our friendship and our time together. I will miss him so much but he will be in my heart forever.”
Meanwhile, The Girls Next Door co-star Holly Madison has remained mum since news broke of Hefner's death. Madison, of course, didn't speak too highly of Hefner in her book, The Vegas Diaries, so it remains to be seen if she will make a public comment.
Crystal Harris, who appeared toward the end of the series' run and eventually became Hefner's third wife (they were married when he died), has also yet to make a statement.
Kristina and Karissa Shannon, who appeared with Harris in The Girls Next Door's final season in 2010, posted an update on Instagram indicating they had done an interview with Good Morning America. There's no word on when or if that will air.
