‘Jersey Shore’ Revival ‘Family Vacation’ Officially Happening at MTV
No more Burger King commercials or Reunion Road Trips – the real Jersey Shore is finally back. MTV confirms the cast will reunite for a new Jersey Shore Family Vacation with near of the entire cast.
Per The Hollywood Reporter, MTV confirmed as much during a broadcast of its Floribama Shore series premiere. The cast of Deena Nicole Cortese, Paul “Pauly D” Delvecchio, Jenni “JWoww” Farley, Vinny Guadagnino, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino will all return for the 2018 series, apparently absent Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola. Here’s the first teaser:
It isn’t clear exactly how many episodes will comprise the new series, though we know it won’t be a one-off special. The revival is also unrelated to E!’s Reunion Road Trip series, which previously reunited the cast (Sammi included) for what many believed was an MTV-sanctioned reunion. Prior to that, the cast took part in an extended Burger King promotion for a new sandwich.
For those unfamiliar, the original Jersey Shore ran from 2009 to 2012 as one of MTV’s most-watched series. It subsequently launched spinoffs Snooki & JWoww and The Show With Vinny, though the cast has largely branched into their own endeavors and family pursuits since.
Jersey Shore Family Vacation will premiere at an undetermined point in 2018, so stay tuned for the latest details.
