Well, this is either good or bad news depending on how you feel about Montana.

Those of us living here in The Treasure State would agree that very few places can compare to Montana's beauty. I mean, even the ugly parts of the state are beautiful. People from all over come to Montana to visit and take in our breathtaking views.

So, you can imagine my surprise when I came across a website that ranked all 50 states according to their beauty and Montana didn't even make the Top 10. That's right, according to the list, Montana is ranked as the 11th most beautiful state.

The website Shareably decided to rank each state and in doing that, determined that 10 states were more beautiful than our beloved Big Sky Country. Now, some of us aren't necessarily fans of folks flocking here and might be pleased with the ranking, however, as a resident of Montana, I'm a bit offended.

Forget the Top 10, there is no way that Montana doesn't make the Top 3.

What 10 States Were Ranked More Beautiful Than Montana?

According to Shareably, here are the states ranked higher than Montana on the beautiful list.

Wyoming: Really? I mean, they have a large portion of Yellowstone National Park, and the people are nice, but other than that? Come on.

Arizona: Seriously? I've been to Arizona and while there are some lovely places, it's also crazy hot in the summer and is filled with little critters that can kill you. No thanks.

Michigan: I've never been, and don't get me wrong, that Mackinac Island looks lovely, but other than that...

Oregon: OK, I will admit that Oregon is beautiful and certainly would make my Top 5, but prettier than Montana? I don't think so.

Washington: Once again, another beautiful state and should certainly be ranked high, but above Montana? Plus, if it's so great, why do so many of their residents continue to move here?

Colorado: Yea, yea, yea. I get it, it's beautiful. Plus you can get a great "contact high".

Utah: I have a ton of friends that live in Utah and while there are lots of things to do for families, especially in the Salt Lake area, prettier than Montana? No.

Alaska: Alaska is both big and beautiful, but can you think that a place that doesn't have much daylight 6 months out of the year is more beautiful than Montana?

Hawaii: I get it, Hawaii is a tropical paradise and a wonderful place to vacation, but to live there? I mean, you're kind of landlocked, and traveling is a bit of a pain.
