Missoula Police Arrest Potential Drug Dealer

Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - On March 12, 2024, a Missoula Police Department Officer was conducting a patrol near the Maple Street Flats apartment complex on Mullan Road. While passing through the parking lot, the officer observed a cream-colored Subaru and he recognized the passenger of the vehicle to be 38-year-old Mickey Wolf. The officer recognized Wolf from prior drug-related calls and knew Wolf was an absconder from Parole and Probation. 

The officer approached the vehicle and observed Wolf in the passenger seat. Wolf stepped out of the vehicle and the officer noticed he had a cellphone in his hand. The officer informed Wolf that he was under arrest for his probation warrant and noted his underlying charge was for possession with intent to distribute.  

On Wolf’s person, the officer located a butane torch, several tooter straws, and a piece of tin foil. Additionally, the officer was informed by another officer that Wolf’s cell phone was open and in plain view. The officer observed a text conversation in which the sender said she needed 20.

The officer then contacted the on-call Parole and Probation Officer and after advising her of the circumstances, she requested he conduct a search of the area where Wolf was sitting. During the search, the officer located a plastic baggie that was shoved in between the passenger seat and the center console. The baggie contained numerous Fentanyl pills.

The officer then opened the black zippered container and observed several items of paraphernalia, including a digital scale, hypodermic syringes, metal scrapers, more foil with burnt residue, and metal spoons. 

The officer advised Wolf of his Miranda rights and Wolf agreed to provide a statement. Wolf admitted the black zippered container was his, but he denied ownership of the fentanyl pills.

A Missoula Drug Task Force Officer assisted in the investigation. The TFO knows from his training and experience that individuals who distribute dangerous drugs do so in varying quantities. The language present on Wolf’s phone is indicative of a person who is attempting to procure dangerous drugs and based on the quantity requested, the TFO believes the sender of the text is requesting counterfeit Oxycodone pills that contain fentanyl. 

Wolf is currently being charged with felony criminal possession of dangerous drugs with intent to distribute and criminal possession of drug paraphernalia. On March 13, 2024, Wolf made his initial appearance in Missoula Justice Court and his bond was set at $25,000.
