Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - The Missoula County Attorney’s Office filed 16 new felony complaints this week, which is four more than last week and right around the weekly average. Deputy County Attorney Brittany Williams provided the report.

“We had seven violent crimes against persons, three endangerment-type crimes, three property crimes, one drug crime, two administrative crimes, and we also had five violent crimes against persons,” Williams said. “That appears to be one of the higher weeks that we've had thus far in 2025.”

Williams said they also charged two strangulation cases for a total of seven violent crimes against persons, which she says is a lot higher than they would like to see.

I asked Williams if there were any upcoming trials next week.

“Fortunately, no, I won't be pulling any of our local jurors from their 4th of July plans for any trials this week,” Williams said. “I won't have to be the bearer of bad news, crushing people's vacation plans. But I do have some upcoming trials in the next couple of weeks. I'm also going to be involved in an inquest, which will be the first in my tenure here.”
