The Downtown Missoula Partnership is ready to welcome you to Missoula’s signature celebration at the top of western Montana’s must-see-list.
RIVER CITY ROOTS FESTIVAL FRIDAY AND SATURDAY
Recognized as the 2009 Montana Tourism Event of the Year, the River City Roots Festival draws more than 15,000 individuals to the heart of Downtown Missoula for a variety of fun activities and exceptional music. This two-day FREE festival features first-class art and entertainment for both residents and visitors.
With live performances on a big stage on West Main Street, a fine art show, entertainment for children and families, and a 4-Mile run through the heart of Missoula, River City Roots Festival brings a weekend of family fun to the heart of the community.

TIMES AND PERFORMANCES
The Festival is full-throttle non-stop on both Friday, August 21 and Saturday, August 22. Performances get underway at 12:30 pm both days and don't wrap up until 10:30 pm both evenings.
Whatever types of music you are into, these high-energy performances will keep you entertained, with plenty of food and beverage vendors to keep you fully fueled.
