It's not every day that I get the chance to sit back and people watch. After all, with a job, family and a dog, there isn't much time in the day to sit back and take it all in.

When I do get the rare opportunity to be around crowds and just watch people, there are plenty of places and events around that don't disappoint.

When the sun comes out and concert season kicks into high gear, the chance to see the variety of people in Western Montana can be quite entertaining. There are a lot of people who call Montana home that are one of a kind. There are also a lot of people who visit the state this time of year and you get the chance to see people who come from far and wide.

For me, some of the best people watching every year happens at the Western Montana Fair. The event draws people of all ages and different walks of life year after year. Watching people playing games, eating fair food, and riding the rides is entertaining.
