If you're looking for something different to do in Montana this month, a unique boxing event is bringing live fights to one of the state's most historic locations.

Historic Venue: Rumble In the Yard at Old Montana Prison

"Rumble In the Yard" is set to take place on Friday, June 19, on the grounds of the historic Old Montana Prison in Deer Lodge.

The event will transform the former prison yard into an outdoor boxing venue, combining Montana history with live combat sports. For more than a century, the prison walls witnessed stories of toughness, determination, and survival. Now, those same grounds will host a night of boxing under the Montana sky, according to the event's website.

Fans can expect multiple bouts throughout the evening, along with food, refreshments, and a one-of-a-kind atmosphere that few sporting venues can match.

Exciting Matchups: Main Event and Featured Fighters

The main event will feature Ariel Beck returning to the ring to face Gabby Coppedge in what promises to be an exciting matchup.

Other featured fighters include Justin Newton vs. Josh Yellowowl, both looking to make a statement in front of a Montana crowd.

The event is being presented by NxtGen Entertainment.

Montana offers plenty of outdoor recreation, concerts, and festivals throughout the summer, but opportunities to watch live boxing on the grounds of a historic prison are rare.
