Original Story:

It's not every day that a parent gets an email from their child's school that talks about a food recall. That is exactly what happened to me yesterday. Reading through the email, there was one from the school with the subject line that said "Quaker Oats Granola Products Recall". The email went on to explain that the school has removed all Quaker Oats Granola products from their shelves and vending machines for disposal due to the recall.

According the U.S. Food and Drug Administration Quaker Oats has recalled both Granola bars and cereals due to possible Salmonella contamination. The products that have been recalled are sold across Montana as well as the rest of the United States, Puerto Rico, Guam, and Saipan.
