Montana Star Money Williams Reveals Top 5 Transfer Schools

Former Montana Grizzly basketball star Money Williams entered his name into the transfer portal earlier this year. Money spent three seasons at UM, scoring over 1300 career points, which ranks 14th all-time.

A recent report says Money's transfer decision is down to five schools.

Missouri has lost in back-to-back first rounds in the NCAA Tournament as a 10 and a 6 seed. Head Coach Dennis Gates has gotten the Tigers to three of the past four NCAA Tourneys.

UNLV saw Money Williams firsthand last season when he scored 30 points against Josh Pastner's Runnin' Rebels. Montana won that game 102-93, by the way.

Saint Mary's has familiarity with Money Williams after former Griz Associate Head Coach Chris Cobb took an assistant coaching role with the Gales this offseason.

Boston College is the geographical outlier. Williams being from California, people close to the situation told me they believed he would stay on the West Coast, so BC was a surprise to see.

Santa Clara is coming off an NCAA Tournament appearance for the first time since 1996. Unfortunately for the Broncos, it ended in the first round in heartbreaking fashion against Kentucky.
