If you live in Missoula, or even just passing through for a weekend, chances are you will end up with a hangover at some point. You're going to need a tried and tested cure from some of our local, longtime hangover homes. Here are my favorite suggestions.

The old saying goes "Missoula is a small drinking town with a football problem". It's very accurate. We were ranked the #9 college drinking town in the nation. Pair that with Griz football season and the holidays, and at some point, you are going to need a local place to cure that massive hangover. Most of these places are located in downtown Missoula, which is where you were probably celebrating in the first place. Let's get you set up.

1. MO Club:  You're going to need a double burger like no other to soak up that booze. When it comes over to a hangover burger and beer, nothing in the Zoo comes close. This is first on the list for a reason.   Find them downtown at 139 W Main St, Missoula.

2. Doc's Sandwiches: While Doc's doesn't serve beer or alcohol for that "hair of the dog" cure, they do have incredible homemade sandwiches. Lock that down with their famous Hangover Stew and you'll be right as rain in no time. Doc's can be found at 214 N Higgins Ave, Missoula.

3. Dobi's Teriyaki: Conveniently located in Stockmans Bar (which is where you were probably partying the night before) Dobi's serves up simple, but very tasting and filling teriyaki dishes. Get half beef with onions and grilled chicken. While it's cooking buy a red beer at the bar directly to your right.

4: The Old Post: Maybe it's a stiff Bloody Mary or Ceasar you're looking to get you back on the horse. The Post has been closed and open on and off recently, but it seems they are back in business, and they have been the spot for that sweet clamato or tomato vodka cure for decades.  Find them at 103 W Spruce St, Missoula.

5. The Top Hat: Let's go for a tried and true tasty meal and cocktail. The Top Hat has been in business in Missoula longer than most of you reading this have been alive. They have seen every sort of hangover in Missoula and they have just the food and drink to get you feeling alright.  134 W Front St, Missoula.

Now here is the part where I remind you to drink responsibly, and always have a designated driver. Get out there and enjoy all the great local businesses that Missoula has to offer, and their unique food and drink cure for your hangover.
