The Missoula community is nothing if not a melting pot.  I was truly unaware that we had such a large Greek community until I found out about "Greek Fest".

How is this the first that I'm hearing about "Greek Fest"? Like, this looks like a pretty big deal for sure. And as it turns out, a big staple of said festival is the food, which I'm a huge fan of as a fat kid.

Now, don't think that Greek Food is the only thing on deck for this event, however.  Things will kick off on Friday, June 23rd with an opening prayer, followed by the Greek and American National anthems. From there the day is packed with Greek folk and dance music, plenty of food and beverages, church tours, a bouncy house for the kids, raffles, and plenty of vendors on hand. You can check out the full event schedule for June 23rd and 24th HERE.

Now, as far as the food goes, that's a big "oh ya". They are going straight-up authentic Greek food that includes Baklava, Gyros, Loukoumades, Spanakopita, Tiropita, and much more.

This year will be the 6th annual festival hosted by the parishioners of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church and will take place at 301 S 6th St in Missoula. This is a family-friendly event with free admission and free parking and Festival proceeds assist in the parish’s growth and give back to the local community. So no matter if you're Greek or not, this event is for everyone and it's a great opportunity to meet some of our Greek friends and neighbors and stuff our faces with some authentic cuisine! If nothing else, you'll learn how to properly pronounce "Gyro".
