One of the University of Montana's greatest events and traditions was almost lost forever if not for some hard-working students. Luckily, at least for now, Missoula's "Foresters Ball" is back, and here to stay.

For the second time in History, the University of Montana almost lost its coveted "Foresters Ball". Once during WWII, and most recently it was cancelled for two years straight due to the pandemic. It was rumored that if they had to cancel it for a third year, it would be gone forever.

Luckily, that wasn't the case and the event returned in a big way last year...

Foresters Ball 2024 is a go, and it's going to be amazing. Right as I type this.. at this very moment students and volunteers are building and planning on how they can top last year's ball which marked the return of the event, and from what I understand, was a swinging success.

Here is the rest of the details you'll need.

What: 2023 Foresters Ball "A Swinging Good Time"!

When: February 2nd and February 3rd 2024. 7 pm - 12 am

Where: Schreiber Gym, University of Montana

Ticket Cost: $17.50 each for couples, $20 for singles available HERE.

So, what do they have on deck for you this year? Let's start with live music from Mark Duboise and Crossroads. Don't forget about the UM Roots Music Ensemble. Plus they will have a Chapel on hand where you can unofficially get married/divorced. The jail will be on hand to lock up annoying guests or even friends. And let's not forget about the beer garden. If you have ever attended the Foresters Ball in the past, well, you know. Things can get wild. Seriously. Forestry students can party. That brings us to the big picture. All proceeds raised from the ball go directly to benefit UM Forestry student scholarships.

One last thing. Get your tickets ASAP. This thing sells out very fast.
