Help Griz For Kids Toy Drive at Saturday’s Montana Football Game

As you rally around your Montana Grizzly football team this weekend, help them rally for needy children in western Montana.

The Griz return home for their final two home games of the season, starting with a Big Sky Conference battle against Cal Poly this Saturday evening, beginning at 6:00. And it's also the annual Griz for Kids Toy Drive Saturday.

Griz fans are encouraged to step up and help make the holidays a little brighter for children in need in the Missoula area. And the Montana Grizzly football team is proud to be part of that effort.

The Griz are asking you to bring new unwrapped toys to the game on Saturday. Volunteers will be manning donation tables at every entrance to Washington-Grizzly Stadium starting at 3:00 p.m. Yep, with an evening kickoff, you'll have plenty of time during the day to do a little shopping for boys and girls of all ages. Any and all toys are greatly appreciate.

But, if you do forget, cash contributions will also be accepted at the donation tables in front of the stadium entrances. And the Griz will make sure all those toys get distributed to youngster who otherwise might not have as merry of a Christmas.

The Griz for Kids Toy Drive was inspired by UM Grizzly football player, Chris Orwig. He and his teammates organized the first toy drive at a Griz game back in 2005. Each year since, the University of Montana and Grizzly Athletics have continued to support the drive.

Here's to our Grizzly football team getting healthy and back on the winning track after a brutal October. And of course, here's to an awesome Griz for Kids Toy Drive thanks to your generosity!
