Ideas can come from anywhere, but we feel that the Bitterroot Valley can coax your imagination with its dynamic seasons and daily beauty, such as the sunset pictured above. Those ideas can be brought forth in an upcoming TEDx Talk in Hamilton at the Bitterroot River Inn January 18, 2019. The theme is "Uncommon." And the name of this TEDx is definitely uncommon. The location is next to Hamilton's Hieronymus park, so that name was selected for the Saturday event. The official website is https://tedxhieronymuspark.com/.

TEDx brings the spirit of TED’s mission of "ideas worth spreading" to local communities. The Hamilton TEDx event is highlighting 12 local speakers who present their thoughts to the audience in a speech lasting no longer than 18 minutes. The Hamilton event will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will include both live speakers and TED Talk videos. The local speakers will be selected from applications, due by October 1. Enter your email address at the TEDx Hieronimus website and follow the instructions. Those wishing to be considered should fill out the application, add a couple of paragraphs about your "Idea Worth Spreading," and include links to previous presentations you have done. The organizing committee will select and notify the 12 speakers by October 15. There will be a rehearsal January 17 and the talks will be January 18 in the Bitterroot River Inn convention center. More information is available at https://www.ted.com/tedx/events/29523. You can easily view plenty of TED talks online. I've really enjoyed many of them.
