The Montana Grizzly football team has partnered with the Get in the Game Save a Life program.

The goal is to help recruit potential donors to join the National Marrow Donor Program's "Be The Match" Registry, which connects patients in need with life-saving donors on the University of Montana campus.

How important is a huge network of donors? Well, every three minutes someone is diagnosed with a life-threatening blood cancer. More than 12,000 patients do not have a matching marrow donor within their family, and they depend on Be The Match to help find someone that can give them hope for a cure.

At a recent team meeting, every Griz football player joined the Be The Match registry, and the team will be spending Friday, April 26 recruiting fellow students across campus. We say bravo, guys! We hope the recruitment campaign is a huge success. Potential interested donors can learn more about how they can Get in the Game here.

Our thanks to Griz Sports Info Director Eric Taber for allowing us to help spread the word.
