A gathering of Grizzly greats will take place on Wednesday at the Ranch Club, for the first annual Roundball Roast Fundraising Banquet.

UM Sports Information Director For Football and Basketball Eric Taber said a panoply of former Grizzly coaches will gather to 'roast' current head men's basketball coach Travis DeCuire.

"The real headline is that this insane coaching tree that we've got for Grizzly basketball is all represented here," Taber said. "Coaching legends like Mike Montgomery, Stew Morrill, Blaine Taylor, Don Holst, they're all coming back to Missoula, along with Larry Krystkowiak and Wayne Tinkle."

Taber said there's only one person who can hold his own and act as Master of Ceremonies for the event.

"Lady Griz Head Coach Robin Selvig is the host," he said. "If you've ever been around when Coach Selvig is firing off the one-liners and the zingers, then you know he's the perfect man for the job."

Taber said the event has been sold out for weeks, setting the stage for even more roasts in the future.

The event is a fundraiser to benefit the men's basketball program.
