Female Pedestrian Struck by Car on South Russell in Missoula [AUDIO]
A female Missoula pedestrian, 24, was struck by a vehicle just before 10 p.m. Tuesday night on South Russell near 39th Street.
Corporal Shawn Manracksa with the Missoula Police Department said early Wednesday morning that the woman was struck while in a crosswalk by a man driving a passenger car.
"A 24 year-old female was in a crosswalk heading east when a 44 year-old male driver was traveling northbound, and his vehicle struck the woman," Manracksa said. "The female was transported to St. Patrick Hospital for her injuries. It does not appear that alcohol was a factor. At last report the female's injuries do not appear to be life threatening."
Manracksa said the driver was cited for several infractions, but was not arrested. The accident is still under investigation.
