Think you have what it takes to be the best eater in the land? Do you wake up every 4th of July, turn on ESPN2, and watch Joey Chestnut devouring 80 hot dogs and think "Ah yes, that could be me?"

Well then, here's some good news for you! The Monthly Competitive Eating Contest at the Thomas Meagher Bar in Missoula is making a comeback!

What is a Competitive Eating Contest?

It's exactly what it sounds like - people get together and eat an insane amount of food. Whoever eats the fastest wins!

The monthly eating contests at the Meagher Bar began towards the end of 2019, but once the pandemic came around, they were put on hold. It wasn't clear if they were going to happen again... but now, it's confirmed that the contests are back, and the next one is going to be happening on Thursday, November 18th. This one's a pie-eating contest, so as long as nobody pulls a Stand By Me, we should be ok.

There will be gift cards and swag for the first and second place winners, and they're looking for about 10 to 12 contestants.

If you want more info (or you want to sign up to enter!), you can check out everything you need at the Thomas Meagher Bar's Facebook event page.

Think you'll be entering this one? Or at least, watching from the sidelines as a spectator, cheering on your friend who will probably need to lie down after eating all that pie?
