Drunk Driving Crash Tuesday Night – Missoula Police Car Damaged [AUDIO]
Late Tuesday night there was a three vehicle injury crash at South Avenue and Reserve Street that involved a Missoula police vehicle.
Sergeant Jake Rosling said the accident occurred just before midnight.
"A 70 year-old woman driving a late-model Subaru passenger car failed to stop at a red light while traveling north-bound on Reserve Street at the intersection of South Avenue," Rosling said. "As a result, the female driver read-ended a blue Ford passenger car that had legally stopped for the red light. The resulting collision forced the 63 year-old male driver through the intersection, where he struck the front drivers-side fender of a Missoula police car."
Rosling said the 70 year-old woman was injured in the accident.
"The 70 year-old female was transported via ambulance to Missoula Community Medical Center for non life-threatening injuries. Neither the male driver nor the police officer showed any signs of being injured. It is believed at this time that alcohol was a contributing factor in the crash. The investigation is continuing."
