What does Missoula mean to you? That's the question you should be thinking about if you want to be part of this new art project coming to Caras Park this weekend.
As part of "Support Our Roots" week, Missoula Downtown has organized a fun, socially-distanced art project where people can use sidewalk chalk to add to an art piece that represents Missoula and what it means to the people living in it.
It'll be happening pretty much all day Saturday, from 9 AM until 5:30 PM. Here's all the info you need from their Facebook event page:
It’s time to support your Roots, Missoula! On Saturday, August 29, as part of ‘Support Our Roots’ week, join in a socially distanced community art project in Caras Park. Get your creative juices flowing with sidewalk chalk to create an art piece that represents what the ‘Roots’ of our community mean to you.
Participation is $5 and sidewalk chalk will be provided but feel free to bring your own.
One hour blocks with a maximum of 4 people per 5′ x 6′ space are available. To limit the amount of people in Caras Park, we will be allowing 25 groups per hour. Wearing a face mask or face covering is highly recommended.
Food trucks will be on hand in case you get hungry depicting your town in chalk form, too. Will you be taking the family and checking this out?
