Drake is taking no prisoners in 2016. On Saturday (Jan. 30), the Toronto rhymer debuted his braggadocio single, “Summer Sixteen,” on his OVO Sound Radio program. The blistering track features Drizzy taking shots at Meek Mill and Canadian rapper-singer Tory Lanez. On top of that, he also released a Nas freestyle over Future’s “March Madness.”

Let’s start with “Summer Sixteen” first. Over a menacing beat, Drake fires lyrical shots at his nemesis Meek Mill.

"I coulda killed you the first time / You don’t have to try to say it louder n---- / Trust, we heard you the first time / It’s nothing personal I would have done it to anyone," he raps, suggesting that his diss songs were aimed at him but they could have been for anyone who tests him.

On the second verse, the 6 God aims his lyrics to T.O. rapper-singer Tory Lanez, who he has a low simmering beef with.

"All you boys in the new Toronto want to be me a little / All your ex’s know I like my O’s with a V in the middle / You would love it if I went away or didn’t say nothing else / How am I keeping it real by keeping this s--- to myself?" he spits.

Drake even threw a shot at President Barack Obama, rapping "Tell Obama that my verses are like the whips that he in / They bulletproof." Apparently, this is in response to Obama stating that Kendrick Lamar would win in a rap battle against Drake.

It would be interesting to hear what Mill, Lanez and even POTUS think of "Summer Sixteen."

During the broadcast, Drake also revealed that Views from the 6 will hit stores in April.

Elsewhere, OVO Radio treated listeners to a freestyle from Nas over Future's fantastic song "March Madness." It's been four years since the veteran rhyme-slinger has released a full-length project, so it was a joy to hear him back rapping again.

Nas sounds invigorated as he spits aggressive bars about his legacy in the rap game. "I’m Hip-Hop baby dad, and all of y’all are my litter, my little kids / My label is Mass,” he boasts, adding, "Appeal to a blunt / Appeal to some liquor / I get to my hitters they spray yo ass."

Overall, Drake is prepping himself for another championship run in 2016. If you want to defeat the 6 God and his OVO crew you got to bring the heat.
