The guided tours of the Daly Mansion begin Saturday, May 18. The official start of their summer season begins with the mansion grounds opening at 10 a.m. Saturday and includes daily tours on the hour at 11 a.m., 12 noon, 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. To take a tour, you go the North Portico of the massive building and enter the hallway leading to the Gift Shop. You can set up your tour ahead of time by calling (406) 363-6004 Ext 4#. The tours include all three floors of the Copper King's home, along with a volume of details from your guides. And, if you don't like stairs, there's a convenient elevator. The price - $10.00 for adults, $9.00 for seniors (age 60 and up) and $7 for children age 6 to 17. This year, the display area on the third floor has items and photos from summertime at the mansion in the early 1900s. (see photo above)

Of course, the 20+ acres of the mansion grounds are free to roam as you wait for your tour to start. The mansion is a favorite place for weddings, however Executive Director Darlene Gould says the calendar is filling up for this year. The Big Tent on the lawn is also the center of outdoor activities during the summer. A new feature is being added on the tennis court - pickleball. Volunteers are always needs to help keep the Daly Mansion and the grounds in great shape.
