If you think you've had messy house guests come to visit, we doubt your cleanup afterwards is anything like this!

Four cows found their way in to a newly built Montana home and proceeded to live there for a month before being detected. The story and pictorial have made their way to Reddit's "Well That Sucks" section.

A woman whose family is currently residing in Washington explained that the house is on her aunt's property and that they were planning to move to Montana at the end of the year. Apparently some cattle got away from a very large ranch nearby. The rancher looked for his cows and even filed a report for stolen cattle. The Washington family assumed their aunt was checking the property from time to time, but that was not the case.

There was a bad storm in the area in late April and speculation is that the cows were looking for shelter. They either got in by nudging a door lever or fierce wind might have created an opening. Nevertheless, you can imagine that it is not a pretty site. Insurance, cattle owner, contractors, etc., have all been contacted. The family does not know at this time what kind of coverage help they will get. We sure wish them the best.
