With so many closures, cancellations and postponements, confinement forces creative ways to pursue your passions.

Thus, we salute a dedicated marathon runner named Elisha Nochomovitz (what do you bet his nickname is 'Nachos'). AP tells us that in Paris, Elisha ran 26.2 miles straight...all on his 23-foot balcony. Yep, back and forth and back and forth and...

He described it as a "crazy physical and mental challenge." He wanted to show support for medical personnel and to inspire others, showing them that is possible to stay fit even as virus containment measures tighten their grip around the world.

Let's see if we can figure out the math, here. There are 5,280 feet in a mile. So multiplied by 26.2 miles would give you 138,336 feet. Divide that by 23 feet and it looks like Elisha had to go back and forth on his balcony about 6,015 times. Naturally with all that stop and go, it was difficult to make time. Elisha finished his run in six hours, 48 minutes.

Here's hoping the Missoula Marathon will get to go on as planned in June.
