It’s not often that news happens literally right out our front door, but there was a traffic accident on South Reserve Street a few minutes after 4:00 a.m. less than a block from the KGVO Studios.

Corporal Patrick Malone with the Missoula Police Department was the investigating officer and provided details of the incident.

“We had a single vehicle headed southbound on Reserve that hit one of the construction vehicles that was parked in the center of the road,” said Malone. “They had clearly visible cones out. Our investigation is still ongoing at this time, so we’re not exactly sure what happened.”

It’s dark, the comes are confusing and in our investigation we’re working on whether or not there were intoxicants on board.

Malone said no one was injured in the incident.

“There were no injuries, thankfully, either in the passenger car or the semi,” he said. “It’s dark, the comes are confusing and in our investigation we’re working on whether or not there were intoxicants on board.”

Again, there were no injuries and the investigation into the crash is ongoing. Police and construction crews remind drivers to slow down when the cones are in place, because workers can be injured or killed if struck by a passing vehicle.
