A Favorite Missoula Taphouse Will Open A New Location Soon
There have been a lot of local closures happening around Missoula lately, with favorites like the Hob Nob, the Staggering Ox, and Caffe Dolce all shutting down for good. So it can be surprising news to hear that downtown Missoula isn't shrinking - it's actually growing.
Montana Right Now reports that 41 new businesses have opened in the downtown area since the beginning of 2020, compared to 18 that have closed down. And it looks like the growth isn't stopping there.
There are still new businesses to come in the upcoming months, including Zaatar Fresh Mediterranean on Higgins, and - according to the article - another new restaurant from the Sawmill Grille, who just opened up Boxcar Bistro earlier this year.

But also on the agenda is a second location for a spot that quickly gained popularity in Missoula over the last couple of years.
Cambie Taphouse + Coffee Will Open A New Location in the Sawmill District
It was back in February 2020 that Cambie first opened up on Higgins, taking over the spot where Hoagieville used to be. They became a Missoula favorite in almost no time, and now they're hard at work on a second location, which they announced back in August.
They've been keeping people updated on the progress of their new spot via their Instagram account, and based on their latest post, it looks like they're almost ready for a soft opening.
After so much news in recent weeks about beloved Missoula places closing down for good, it's nice to hear about a local business that's thriving, and doing so well that they're actually expanding.
Will you be checking out the new Cambie location when it opens?
