Broad Comedy is an all female comedy team and they're coming to Montana to help raise funds for ACLU of Montana. The American Civil Liberties Union of Montana's current priorities include criminal justice reform, Indigenous justice with a focus on educational equity, LGBTQ rights, and more.

The American Civil Liberties Union is a nonprofit organization whose stated mission is "to defend and preserve the individual rights and liberties guaranteed to every person in this country by the Constitution and laws of the United States."

Broad Comedy has been producing snarky, provocative and loveable all-women’s comedy and musical-satire since 2001. They've toured the world, won awards and their hilarious videos get thousands of views on YouTube.

With the Broads, nothing is sacred, except an unflinching look at America today. It’s outrageous, it’s community, it’s a party on a stage.

Opening for the Broads will be local stand-up comedian, activist, artist, writer, and filmmaker, Lenny Peppers.  Lenny is an enrolled member of the Northern Cheyenne tribe, and a Crow tribe descendant.  Her passion is to have Indigenous stories heard clearly above the din of the modern world.

The ladies will perform at the MCT on Friday, September 27th. Tickets are $30 until 9/22 and $40 the week of the show. Doors open at 7 and the show starts at 8 p.m. Buy tickets HERE.

You can also catch shows in Whitefish on Wednesday, September 25th, and Bozeman on Saturday, September 28th.

“With our rights being dragged through the mud daily, we wanted to get out there on the road and give activists and concerned ACLU supporters a healthy shot of renewed energy in the form of political satire,” says Katie Goodman, director, writer and actress in the troupe. “As the bumper sticker says, ‘She who laughs, lasts.’”
