Any restaurant that's been in business for over 50 years has got to be doing something right - once you've been around that long, you're nothing less than a staple of the community, a beloved spot that families have fond memories of. The kind of place that people who were kids back in the day might take their own kids now.

But unfortunately, everything does have to come to an end. And for one local pizza shop, it looks like that end may be here - after first opening its doors in 1966, Howard's Pizza in Missoula is officially selling their building.

This comes from KPAX, who discovered that the Howard's Pizza building on South Ave was for sale - realtor Shelly Evans posted the listing on Facebook.

Her post does note that the seller would consider just selling the property, and not the business.

As far as I can tell, Howard's Pizza - which has been a family-owned and operated business for its entire run - has not commented. So it's possible that they're simply moving locations or planning something else, but also possible that after 50 years, they've just decided it was time to call it a day.

The listing is currently priced at $950,000, in case anyone reading wants to buy a pizza place that's already set up for dine-in, delivery, and takeout.

Were you a frequent customer of Howard's Pizza? Can you believe they've been in business for as long as they have?
