We recently reported of a new movie coming to Netflix. A movie that is considered one of the awards seasons most anticipated releases. The movie is an adaptation of the 1967 novel "The Power of the Dog."

With a cast riddled with Oscar award winning actors and actresses, it is no wonder that critics are excited to see this movie. Starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Kirsten Dunst, Jesse Plemons and Kodi Smit-McPhee.

According to Variety

Based on the novel by Thomas Savage, the film is set in 1925 and tells the story of Montana ranchers Phil (Cumberbatch) and George Burbank (Plemons), the former of which stokes fear in those around him. However, when George marries Rose (Dunst), a widower, and brings her home with her son Peter (Smit-McPhee), Phil takes the boy under his wing, bringing unexpected consequences.

Netflix has released their first teaser trailer for the upcoming movie. Just watching it will have you on the edge of your seat. As Cumberbatch's character will send chills down your spine. The trailer shows not only some great cinematic shots, but also delivers the sense that this movie may be more powerful than previously believed.

It is the only film to be screening at all of the big Fall film festivals. Featured at the Toronto, Telluride and New York festivals. It is scheduled to be released in select theaters on November 17th and then available to stream on Netflix starting December 1st.
