Even though it is a holiday for many, Arts Missoula will still help you celebrate First Friday events this Friday, July 3.

With the warmer summer weather, many are anxious to stroll around one of downtown Missoula's most popular events. Through the services of Missoula Community Access Television (MCAT), there will once again be a coronavirus twist on First Friday. While it doesn't include the delightful stroll, you can enjoy Virtual First Friday, a live streaming tour of local art institutions and their July exhibits.

Arts Missoula will also be announcing their July Art Star, an individual who has made a significant contribution to the Missoula art scene. You can take the streaming Facebook live tour event and check out many of the most popular area art galleries and their July exhibits.

A bit about Arts Missoula. It is our local arts and culture agency, connecting art, culture, and community through education, advocacy and celebration. Arts Missoula houses two educational programs, Global and Cultural Affairs and SPARK! ARTS and is the home of the Public Art Coordinator and liaison to the City of Missoula Public Art Committee. The office celebrates international and domestic cultures and connects communities through Germanfest and First Night, which it has produced for over 25 years.

The virtual tour is from 5:00 - 6:00 this Friday. You can access it through the Arts Missoula website. We hope you can find a little time to take it all in.

Arts Missoula serves as a resource for the coordination, development and support of art and culture for the benefit of the Missoula community.
