It’s a “virtual” guarantee that you will still have a great time meeting and supporting the University of Montana Grizzly softball team.

The annual Meet the Team event usually features a dinner and a chance to meet the players and coaches in person, while you bid on auction items and enjoy other spirited interaction.  But like just about everything else, COVID-19 has forced the team to readjust to avoid striking out.

Meet the Team Virtual Style is asset for Friday, January 29, starting at 7:00 p.m.  Fans will be able to interact via a special website, grizsoftball.givesmart.com. As we write this, the site says “coming soon,” so you will have to check back in the near future to see what all is planned.

We do know that there will be interviews with current players, appearances by Griz softball team alumni, a 2021 season preview, online auction and Griz softball merchandise sales. There is also going to be a silent auction ahead of the event. The silent auction starts Friday, January 22, and ends at 10:00p.m. on January 29.

If you would like to get a big lead off of first and get more information as soon as possible, you can contact the Montana Grizzly Softball assistant coaches, Magali Frezzotti at 406-243-4651 or Sarah O’Brien at 406-243-4675.
