Amy Winehouse Documentary Trailer Debuts [VIDEO]

The first glimpse of Amy, a documentary about Amy Winehouse's life, is here and it's one clip that you need to see.

The film recounts the life of the late Back to Black singer, who died from alcohol poisoning in July 2011. Old interviews, film footage from the days before she was famous and shots of her time recording in the studio are all included in the documentary. Amy will also include songs from the singer that have never been released.

The A24 Films-distributed project was directed by Asif Kapadia, who is best known for Senna, a documentary about the late Brazilian race car driver Aytron Senna.

Aside from all of the happier parts of Amy's life, the doc will also look into her demise. In one part of the clip, an interviewer asks her about how famous she thinks she'll be during her music career. The "Rehab" singer, who avoided the press during her time in the spotlight and kept much of her life private, wasn't looking for fame. "I don't think I'm going to be at all famous," she says as part of the recording in the teaser video. "I don't think I could handle it. I would probably go mad. You know what I mean? I would probably go mad."

Amy is set to premiere in U.K. theaters on July 3. The U.S. opening date has not been released yet.
