I am a tough sell when it comes to many things in life. I rarely watch TV and have to schedule out when I will do my laundry and precook my meals for the week. So, I am chincy about the teeny amount of free time I have and how I will spend those precious moments each day.

I’ve started countless novels and can’t seem to continue… Even after I push myself toward the middle of the book, hoping for a hook, and then I throw in the towel.

This week, I came across a memoir of an amazingly inspiring woman; her resume, accomplishments and feats, pages long. With ties to Missoula and a passion for similar interests, I was curious about reading Hattie Kauffman’s book. I started reading at 10:30 Wednesday night and didn’t stop until 2:30 AM. I COULDN’T PUT IT DOWN! Her life read like script of a made for TV movie.

I was filled with rage at the most abhorrent comments a loved one could ever make. The next page had me laughing out loud and a paragraph after that, my heart sank at the desperation and hunger that a small innocent child should NEVER endure!

The forecast calls for a chilly, rainy weekend for Western Montana. So head to Garden Of Read'n Saturday, get Hattie Kauffman’s book, Falling into Place: A Memoir of Overcoming. Meet her and let her brutally honest book about one woman’s hardship, heartache, repair, reconciliation and faith drive you to relate and examine yourself.

And then, let me know what you think!

Interested in learning more about the book? I spoke with Hattie this week and here's what we talked about.
