A Missoula Couple Is Renting Out Their Backyard Pool
Have you heard of this app called Swimply?
Basically, it's like Airbnb, but for swimming pools. You search your area, and you can actually find people who have made their private pools available to rent by the hour. It's been taking off this summer in some of the bigger cities, but hasn't made much of an impact on Missoula yet.
That could be about to change, though - because one Missoula couple is now renting out their pool via Swimply, which makes them the only pool in town currently on the app.
You can check out the profile on the pool here - it's $45 an hour to rent for a group of up to 10 people (any more than that is an extra $5 per person). And it includes stuff life badminton, cornhole, a grill, pool toys, and speakers.
It's been an especially hot summer in Missoula, and with COVID cases and the delta variant on the rise, you might not want to head out with the family to the local public pools - so this might be a solid alternative.
Will this kick off a chain reaction of other people with pools deciding to put them on the market too? I have to imagine once people see how much easy money they can make doing this, those numbers will start to rise.
Think you'll be taking the family or a group of friends to rent out this pool in Missoula?
