Whether it's holiday travel or a trip to just get away from it all, hitting the road is an exciting adventure. Sometimes, though, you may wish you never left home.

Reddit voted on the five most disappointing tourist destinations.

Number one? Los Angeles. Yes, the city of angels, the city of movie stars, the city of smog and traffic that moves so slowly you can actually watch yourself age in the rearview mirror.

To be fair, though, L.A. isn't so bad. It's better than being stuck in Cleveland, right? And there's always the chance you'll see an A-lister strolling along Rodeo Drive.
